MyAlly Terms of Service

These terms explain what MyAlly does, what we promise, and — just as important — what we don't. MyAlly is in early access, so please read this before you use the app.

What MyAlly is (and isn't)

MyAlly is a product of Cosmoneural [full registered legal entity name and address to be inserted], an Indian software company. When you use MyAlly, these terms are an agreement between you and Cosmoneural.

MyAlly is a technology facilitator. You snap a photo of a civic problem, or describe a government-related problem by voice or text in your language. Our AI identifies the issue, works out which authority is responsible — municipal, state, or central — and prepares a complaint, grievance, or RTI application for you. When you file, MyAlly acts as your disclosed agent: it helps you prepare and submit an application that is yours, in your name, on official government channels.

To be completely clear:

  • MyAlly is not a government service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any government body.
  • MyAlly is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Drafts our AI prepares are document assistance, not legal opinion. If your matter needs a lawyer, please consult one.
  • MyAlly never files anything on its own. Nothing goes to any authority without your review and your explicit confirmation.

The app is in early access in 2026. We are actively building it, and some features will change, improve, or occasionally break. We will be upfront with you when they do.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to use MyAlly at launch. By creating an account you confirm that you are.

Signing up needs only your phone number (verified by OTP) or a Google account. We do not ask for Aadhaar, KYC, or documents at signup. When a specific government form requires details — your name, or your address for an RTI application — we ask for them at the time of that filing, and they go on the government application itself, not into a marketing profile.

A few things we ask of you:

  • Give accurate details. Filings go out in your name, so wrong details are your problem before they are anyone else's.
  • Keep your account to yourself. One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under your login.
  • Tell us at support@cosmoneural.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.

How filing works

This part matters, so here it is plainly.

  • MyAlly prepares; you file. The app drafts your complaint, grievance, or RTI application. You read the draft, edit it if you want, and confirm with a tap. Nothing is submitted until you do.
  • You complete the official portal's own steps. Where a government portal requires an OTP, captcha, or similar verification, you complete it yourself in an assisted flow inside the app. MyAlly never stores your government-portal passwords.
  • Every filing is in your own name, on official channels — CPGRAMS, RTI Online, municipal portals, and sector-specific portals. You are the applicant of record. Acknowledgements, replies, and orders from the authority come to you, not to us.
  • MyAlly tracks the case for you. The app keeps a ledger of your filings, tracks status and deadlines (for example the CPGRAMS 21-day norm and the RTI 30-day reply period), reminds you, and helps you prepare appeals or escalations when a response is late or unsatisfactory. Those deadlines belong to the government's rules, not to us — see "What we promise" below.

Acceptable use

MyAlly exists to help real problems get to the right authority. Use it that way.

  • Report truthfully. File only about problems you honestly believe exist, with photos and descriptions that are genuine. You are legally responsible for what you file: a knowingly false complaint or misleading application can carry consequences under Indian law, and they fall on you as the applicant.
  • No bulk or spam filing. Do not use MyAlly to flood any authority with duplicate, automated, or bad-faith filings.
  • No impersonation. File only as yourself, about matters you are entitled to raise.
  • Don't use MyAlly to harass any person or official, or for anything unlawful.

If you misuse MyAlly, we may suspend or close your account. For serious or repeated misuse, we will.

Karma and leaderboards

Karma points reward outcomes, not volume. You earn points only when a report you filed is accepted and the fix is verified — for example by a photo re-check of the spot. You never earn points simply for filing, so there is no reward for spam.

Leaderboards for your ward and city show display names only for users who opt in. If you don't opt in, you don't appear.

Karma has no monetary value. Points cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or exchanged for anything. We may adjust or remove points, or change how the programme works, to keep it fair — including where we find gaming or abuse.

Fees

MyAlly is free during early access. We will not promise it stays free forever, because that would be a promise we can't be sure of keeping. What we do promise: if we introduce paid services later — such as per-filing expert assistance — they will be optional and clearly priced, and you will see the price before you pay anything.

Some government applications carry their own official fee (an RTI application, for example, has a statutory fee). That fee is set by and paid to the government, not to us, and you will see it before you confirm the filing.

What we promise — and what we can't

We can't promise outcomes. No one honestly can. Whether an authority accepts your complaint, how it decides, and how fast it acts are entirely up to that authority. MyAlly does not guarantee that your pothole gets filled, your RTI gets a full reply, or any deadline is met by the government.

What we do stand behind: that your filing is prepared correctly from the information you gave and approved, and that it is submitted to the channel we told you it would go to. If we get that wrong — the draft doesn't match what you confirmed, or it went to the wrong place through our fault — tell us and we will fix it, including helping you refile.

Because we are in early access, the service is otherwise provided "as is". Portals go down, formats change, and our AI can make mistakes — which is exactly why you review every draft before it goes anywhere.

Limitation of liability

To the extent Indian law allows:

  • We are not liable for the decisions, actions, inaction, or delays of any government authority, or for downtime or changes on government portals.
  • Deadline tracking and reminders are a best-effort aid, not a legal calendaring service. We work hard to get them right, but the statutory deadlines in your matter remain your responsibility, especially for appeals and time-barred remedies.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
  • Our total liability to you for all claims connected to MyAlly is capped at [amount / formulation to be confirmed by counsel — for example, the fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months or a fixed rupee amount, whichever is higher].

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.

Ending your account

You can stop using MyAlly at any time, and you can delete your account and your data from within the app. Two things to know before you do:

  • Filings you have already made live on government portals, in your name, independently of MyAlly. Deleting your MyAlly account does not withdraw them and does not delete them from government systems.
  • Deleting your account removes your case ledger from MyAlly. If you want a record of your filings and their reference numbers, save it before you delete.

We may suspend or close your account for breach of these terms, particularly the acceptable-use rules. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any dispute-resolution clause below, the courts at [city to be confirmed by counsel] have exclusive jurisdiction.

If something goes wrong, talk to us first — most problems are fixable faster over email than in any forum. Write to support@cosmoneural.com. Our grievance officer's name and contact details, as required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable rules, are published at [link to be added].

[Arbitration clause, if adopted, to be inserted by counsel — including seat, language, and rules.]

Changes to these terms

MyAlly is in early access, so these terms will evolve as the product does. When we make a material change — anything affecting your rights, your money, or your data — we will tell you in the app or by the contact details on your account before it takes effect, and give you time to read it. The current version, with its effective date, always lives at myally.in.

If you keep using MyAlly after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. If you don't agree with a change, you can delete your account as described above.

Effective date: [to be set at launch].
